A distribution is profit earned by a fund and paid to
investors, and may include income such as interest, dividends and realised
capital gains.
A distribution is expressed as a cents per unit amount. For example, if your fund pays a distribution of two cents per unit, and you hold 1000 units, your total distribution payment would be $20 ($0.02 x 1000).
When a distribution is paid, the unit price of the fund will fall by an equivalent amount. To learn more about the impact of distributions on unit prices, click here.

Most funds distribute at the end of each financial quarter. The exceptions
include global funds which distribute half yearly (June and December), and cash
and income funds which distribute at the end of each month.
Distribution calculation dates for each financial quarter are given below.
Distributions are normally paid within 14 days of the calculation date.
Investors can elect either to reinvest their distribution, or have it paid to
their bank account.
